  • Explore the districts

Being its own city, Boomtown offers 11 uniquely themed and immersive districts, and the following four are new for 2018: Paradise Heights, Copper County, Metropolis, Diss-order Alley. Our advice? See where the wind takes you and don’t be afraid to get lost! The best festival experiences are often had in the spur of the moment, when you least expect it.

  • Embrace your alter ego

Forget donning a flower crown and being covered in glitter. Boomtown is a place to truly let yourself be free, to discover your inner character. From rock rebel to circus performer or even Wild West cowboy, just riffle through the fancy dress box and don’t be afraid to let all inhibitions go!

  • Take it slow in Whistlers Green

If you fancy a break from Boomtown’s madcap streets and heavy basslines, then why not listen to some jazz and folk at Whistler’s Green? Overlooking inspiring views of South Downs National Park, you can roll out of your tent and take part in yoga, meditation and dance, or zone out in the hot tubs and holistic healing fields.

  • Camp in comfort with Camp Skylark

If lugging around and setting up tents isn’t for you, skip the stress and be part of Camp Skylark. Your accommodation is already set up for you upon arrival and you can choose from minimal fuss tents, snug yurts and giant tipis. With toilets, shower facilities, a communal chill out area and beautiful fire pit, just sit back and soak up the beauty around you.

  • Get the kids in on the fun

There’s something for everyone at Boomtown, and that includes Kidztown for the little ones (also known as mini-boomers). With a dedicated Forest School and much more, Kidztown is home to serious playtime action and even has its own Sandcastle Stage, hosting family friendly shows designed specifically for the little ears. Like with the main festival, kids can also enjoy interactive venues including Rat-a-Tattoo, the Piggy Bank, the Pet Shop and the Post Office.

  • Use a secure locker

Gone are the days of praying everything stays in your tent. Simply pay a £5 deposit for a padlock and keys (or bring your own) and you can store all your belongings safely in a locker. Access is 24 hours and lockers include mobile phone charging – although you must bring a 12V car charger / adaptor.

  • Keep your phone charged

Whether you want to film your favourite acts or capture all the weird and wonderful costumes, don’t risk running out of power. Both drop off and portable phone charging is available on site and provided by Charge Candy.
