For a good old festive knees up, look no further than Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. Whether you want to sip cocktails and sing karaoke, chill out with a hot chocolate by the fire, or dance to the upbeat tunes of an oompah band, Winter Wonderland has it all. There’s even an Ice Bar where everything, including the glass you drink from, is completely frozen. So, be sure you wrap up warm!
Follow a sparkling Christmas trail

It’s the city’s newest festive attraction and at Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens, you can follow a magical illuminated trail this Christmas. In a gorgeous after-dark experience, the gardens will be full of glowing glasshouses, twinkling trees and will play host to a flickering Fire Garden too. This is the perfect event for families and the kiddies will have the chance to say hello to Santa and his elves along the way too.

If watching festive films on repeat is your Christmas all wrapped up, then you’re going to love the latest addition to Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. A Home Alone themed bar! Bought to you by the creators of Ghetto Golf, the spectacular space will feature everything from festive living rooms and a Christmas cocktail menu, to smooth Sinatra remixes and awesome live bands. Dates are yet to be confirmed – so keep an eye out!

Ice skate at a palace

Whether you’re a whizz on the rink or cling onto your mate for dear life, we’d thoroughly recommend you get your skates on in Brighton. Specifically, at the Royal Pavilion, where you can ice skate while enjoying a beautifully lit backdrop of an exotic palace. Or, if you’d rather just lap up your stunning surroundings (tbh we don’t blame you) and enjoy some warming food and drink, there’s a huge rinkside bar and restaurant.
Fly into the sky with Santa

Forget the sleigh and reindeer! This December, you and the little ones can take to the skies and meet the big man himself at Brighton’s i360’s Santa Flights. As you glide up the world’s tallest moving observation tower, you can enjoy Christmas magic at 450 feet and meet Santa and his elf, who will be on hand to give presents to the kids. Yay!

Want to experience the Eden Project like never before? Then watch its winter landscape transformed in the unique Festival of Light and Sound! As you make your way down to the Mediterranean Biome, you’ll see plants brought to life by a whole range of dancing light projections and dramatic soundscapes. Plus, you’ll even be able to catch a rare glimpse of the rainforest by night from the 50 metre high lookout at the the Rainforest Biome.
