The New Year is fast approaching (we know – where did 2017 go again?) and, if you ask us, that’s the perfect excuse to partaaay. If you’re on the hunt for somewhere weird and wonderful to ring in the New Year, The Aeronaut turns a night at the pub completely upside down – and then some. At this carnival-themed boozer, you can watch a spectacular circus show while dining on the best of traditional British pub food and drink. There’s also cabaret shows, a pub garden and a ‘Big Top’ room with aerial shows!

See a dazzling display in London

    Where: Victoria Embankment, Westminster

Yes it’s the obvious choice for New Year’s celebrations, but when it comes to fireworks on New Year’s Eve, there’s nowhere better to go than London. And yes, before you panic, you will be able to hear Big Ben’s famous ‘bongs’ as the clock strikes midnight – no maintenance work will ever stop that from happening! We’d advise you to book your tickets early as there will be none available to buy on the night. Also, make sure you and your mates book the same viewing area (FYI there are five to choose from), as you can’t move between them.

Party for three days and nights straight

    Where: Edinburgh Castle

Love dancing into the early hours at your favourite festivals? Then, it’s time to add Hogmanay to your list! Taking place at the epic Edinburgh Castle, Hogmanay is a three day festival dedicated entirely to ringing the New Year in style and trust us, it’s one whopper of a party. The Scottish shindig will play host to traditional Ceilidh dancing, folk musicians, a street party headlined by eighties icons, The Human League, and even a performance from Rag’n’Bone Man.
